PETALING JAYA – A retired man managed to break the record of the biggest jackpot win in history when he won RM57 million at Sport Toto 6/58, making him an instant millionaire.
The 70 year old man admitted that it was hard for him to stay calm when he found out about his win through local newspaper last Wednesday.
“This is a big surprise for me that I almost had a heart attack!,” he said quoted from a press conference at Sports Toto Malaysia, yesterday.
The lucky numbers that gave him the win were 2, 12, 24, 25, 32 and 33. The man also told that he got the numbers after several meticulous research on all probable numbers that won.
Besides that, he also learnt on the trends of numbers and started to create combinations of lucky numbers. hence, making bets on the sets with average bets to fill up his time.
He described the win as a very ‘special angpow’ for this coming Chinese New Year.
“It sure is a big Chinese new Year gift,” he added.
When asked about the money, he said that he is planning on keeping the money to fund the education of his grandchildren in the future and to help those who are in need.
Jackpot Supreme Toto 6/58 previously has only been won twice with both winning price were worth not more than RM48 million.
The Chinese man’s win not just broke a new record for the category of the game, it was also recorded as the biggest win in the history of Sport Toto Malaysia.
According to source, the win of the retiree happened when a man in his 40s in Sabah won Jackpot Toto 4D worth RM7.1 million on January 15. – Mynewshub.my
